We are thrilled to invite you to our first Tech MeetUp for the year. Our colleagues from Funding Circle - Nikolay Penchev, Senior Software Engineer and Dimitar Yoldov, Back-end Software Engineer will talk about:

"Functional thinking (examples using Clojure and Java)"

During this talk, Niki and Mitko will explain why developers are falling in love with functional programming. They will also share multiple examples that include using Clojure and Java.

The presentation will be divided into five parts:

  • Laziness
  • Composition
  • Functional Data Structures

Nikolay Penchev is a Senior Software Engineer at the Funding Circle team at Questers. He has experience with multiple front-end projects and expertise with frameworks and libraries like AngularJS and Reagent. Nikolay is passionate about functional programming and for the last 5 years he has been focusing on Clojure/ClojureScript stack.
DIMITAR YOLDOV

DIMITAR YOLDOV

Dimitar is a Back-end Software Engineer at the Funding Circle team at Questers. He has almost 10 years of work experience in the sector and has solid professional knowledge in both object-oriented and functional programming. Dimitar very often describes himself as a passionate advocate of Clojure and the Function programming paradigm.
