PHP Meetup: Laravel and why it is the right choice

At Despark we strongly believe in the power of communities and sharing knowledge and we like having fun! So for some time now we’ve been wanting to do something ourselves to get developers, designers, startup people and other industry professionals in Sofia together.

Luckily we are also partners with betahaus sofia – the biggest coworking space in Bulgaria, and we are happy to announce that together we plan to organise a number of events this year. (Yes, these will involve beer!).

We will kick off the year with a PHP meetup focused on Laravel. We recently started implementing this framework and our team is really excited to work with it! Laravel is not that popular in Bulgaria but we managed to find a local dev that is experienced and passionate about it to join us and talk details.

Ivan Vankov is well known in the local PHP community. He has a blog with video lectures where he tries to help developers and he also teaches in SofUni.bg. Above all Ivan is happy to share with us how he uses Laravel and why it is the right choice of framework.
